Preparations for the mouthwatering tie against the Elephants will start next week.
Zambia and Ivory Coast will battle it out at Ndola’s Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on June 17.
A host of local players and a few from Europe will start camp on Monday next week in South Africa.
The team will be holed up in South Africa for about 10 days and then shift base to Ndola.
Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant is also expected to drop six players after camp in South Africa.
Zambia need a point to end an 8 year AFCON drought.
The final group match will be played in September 2023 against Comoros.
My opinion that; that is not necessary. the money spent camping abroad for a game to be played domestically may instead be used as an incentive to boost players moral should they win or simply qualify through a draw.

Even FAZ has no confidence in their own facilities. If there was something i picked up during the Barcelona v Chipolopolo game was how green the grass looked. A standard that i never upheld for pur local games no matter how important they are.
