CHIPOLOPOLO FIRST CHOICE GOALKEEPER SIGNS FOR MARITZBURG UNITED

Chipolopolo Boys goalkeeper Sebastian Mwange has signed for South African DSTV Premier League side Maritzburg United.

The former Green Eagles shot-stopper has penned a 2-year deal.

The 28-year-old made his international debut in June 2019 at the Cosafa Cup in the 2 all draw against Malawi.

He went on to win the Cosafa Cup golden glove at the tournament after helping Zambia to a fifth Cosafa Cup title.

His coach at the club, Aggrey Chiyangi handed him three caps and the trend has continued with Micho who gave him the starting nod including the 2-1 win over South Africa earlier this month. He has already won 5 caps.

In South Africa, Mwange becomes the third Zambian goalkeeper plying their trade in that country.

Zambian legend Kennedy Mweene is on the books of Sundowns while South African born Cyril Chibwe plays for Polokwane City.

At the club, he has played in the CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup.

  1. Goalkeeping issue seems to have benn resolved. We have 2 goalkeepers in SA fighting for one position. Great. Defense seems okay

Sebastian Mwange as a goalkeeper you can play until you are 38 years. You have 8 good years ahead of you.

    Congrats
