Zambia’s ranking on the FIFA ladder has been dealt a severe blow after a dismal outing at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Chipolopolo have tumbled 10 places to rank 60th in the world from the previous ranking of 50.
Zambia have also slipped to 17th in Africa from the 11th position the team occupied last month.
The Honour Janza coached side played three games in January drawing two and losing one.

herve is a lousy coach. but i give him credit for one thing- hes very lucky. ivory coast were now alive to the fact that they needed to win. the squad was also abundant. fact, herve cant coach an average team like a roberto martinez!

As long as we let the likes of corrupt Kalusha Bwalya and PATHETIC and USELESS Honour Janza running our football and coaching the national team, we will continue to tumble on the FIFA rankings.These rankings are just a true reflection of our dismal performance. We are DOOMED as a footballing nation!
CORRUPT Kalusha Bwalya has stubbornly refused to advertise for the position of national team coach despite the many calls of million of Zambians that are sick and tired of the useless Honour JANZA. Kalusha has no heart for Zambian football and the national team. We will continue to tumble on the FIFA and CAF rankings as long as he remains in charge of running football affairs in this country! He has to GO!

Hahahahaha…. Fifa is high on cheap weed, bcos how would you explain my country NIGERIA moving from 43 position to 42 position without participating in afcon. Teams dat went and even manage a victory still drop points. I remembered in 2013 afcon after winning afcon my country nigeria started dropping on this yeye ranking now in 2015 without participating points started coming in. Well nothing do us for naija, we must get rated and better ranked for world cup qualifiers.
FIFA has always been useless just as their rankings. I am at pains to understand why Nigeria is still in the top 10 in Africa and has moved from 43 to 42 despite failing to qualify to afcon 2015. South Africa lost 2 games and drew 1 is now ahead of Zambia. Shocking!

People of Zambia, please take FIFA ranking serious. The calculations are funny and might not make sense to you…The formula also changes time to time.
It is the trick to qualify for the World cup….They pair the 10 strong teams in Africa with the others based on the FIFA rankings for WC qualifiers. The reason why you were paired with Ghana last time was because you were outside the first 10.
Ghana used to always beat Nigeria just like you always brag that you beat Ghana, but yet it was Nigeria who started qualifying for the WC in West Africa cause they learnt the trick with FIFA rankings.
why should C/Verde be ranked higher than DR Congo who came 3rd ?
