The 2015 Africa Cup of Nations group B lived up to its billing with two exciting encounters on Monday evening which saw both Senegal and Algeria come from behind to grab three points.
In the early kickoff, Andre Ayew gave the Black Stars an early lead in the 14th minute from the spot as the Avram Grant coached side dominated the first half.
However, Senegal came back strong in the second half and their pressure paid off in the 58th minute when Mame Diouf leveled matters before Mussa Sow ensured maximum points in the referee’s optional time with virtually the last kick of the game.
South Africa will rue the missed chances after they gave away a comfortable position to lose 3 – 1 to Algeria.
South Africa went ahead in the 51st minute through a well worked goal finished by T Phala. Bafana Bafana had the highest ranked team in Africa right where they wanted and they forced a penalty off the Arabs which could have extended their lead.
However, T Rantie rattled his effort on to the cross bar to keep Algeria in the game. South Africa then conceded an own goal through T. Hlatshwayo before Algeria scored two more goals in the 72nd and 83rd minutes through F. Ghoulam and I. Slimani.

This was a match of two halves! Ghana cld have finish the game off in the first half after having more than five clear chances! Senegal had all the possession but Ghana was the game!!
This should tell u how dangerous Ghana is cuz they are very purposeful! A good team is the one that doesn’t saddled itself with useless possession but rather can turn half possessions or chances into goals and that’s what Ghana did!

You guys making fun of Ghana are crazy. Ba Zambia had a very similar performance to that of Ghana, but were simply lucky to escape with a point. Granted, the level of expectation on the Black Stars is much higher than it is for Zambia and they played that match without their talisman Gyan. Big shame is that I don’t think Avram Grant might be a good tactician (really don’t know), but he is clearly not the sort to light a fire under a team and right now the blackstars seem to be lacking that fire.
To be honest. Ghana played better than Zambia. At least the first half performance by Ghana was very good. Zambia only had the one goal, but other than that…not much to write about. We (Zambia) are have not put on a good performance at AFCON since the 2012 final against Ivorycoast. Too much hateration on Ghana and South Africa, but other than a lucky draw Zambia has no real leg to stand on.

Ghana should know that the game is won on the pitch and not on the paper. You fans are not doing any favor to your black stars,learn to be realistic with your team. Quite alright you drew against Germany in Brazil and did very well in South Africa in 2010 but that doesn’t mean all teams in Africa are weak or your customers.Your players are so arrogant when they are playing in Africa,European football is very different from AFCON.
