Chisamba Lungu came off the bench to score the winner as Aguila Stars beat Indeni 3-2 in the National League while Kafue Celtic and Chirundu United booked their places in the 2026 ABSA Cup.
The ZPL Men’s National League came alive with some exciting matches from the rescheduled week 9.
At Reiz Arena, 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winner Chisamba Lungu came off the bench to score the winner as Aguila Stars recorded a dramatic 3-2 win over Indeni.
Indeni came from two goals down to level matters thanks to goals from Logic Ching’andu and Stephen Musonda after goals from Keke Sepuka and Patience Chipembe had put the hosts in the lead.
Chisamba scored a late winner to give Aguila Stars maximum points.
At the Croc Swamp, Kafue Celtic beat Riverplate 4-0 to qualify for the ABSA Cup.
A brace from Mulenga Chiluba and a goal each from Musa Chiwaya and Jonathan Kalimina gave Celtic an emphatic 4-0 win.
The win means Celtic have qualified to the 2026 ABSA Cup.
Chirundu edged Roan United 1-0 thanks to a Joseph Chilimina goal from the penalty spot to seal a place in the ABSA Cup.
Meanwhile Trident missed out on the ABSA Cup after they suffered a late defeat to Forest Rangers.Forest scored a late goal to win 2-1.
Goals from Saviour Kunda and Idriss Kisha gave Malembe a hard fought win. Nicholas Chipoya scored the goal for Trident.
Elsewhere Lumwana Radiants thumped Ndola United 5-0. A brace from Fred Kumwenda and a goal each from Charles Lubasi, Richard Zulu and Philip Kabwela was enough for the North Western Province based outfit.
