Solwezi Academy and Barts FC joined Makeni All Stars, Roan United and Airpower as the five teams that have booked their places in the ABSA Cup 2025 round of 16.
Solwezi Academy saw off Mathkat United 1-0 to go through to the round of 16 where they will face Konkola Blades.
Highly rated Solwezi Academy striker Enock Sachifula scored the all important goal in the 38th minute to seal the win.
In the second match Southern Province based Barts FC beat Northern Province representatives Teta FC 1-0 to progress to the last 16.
Martin Mweemba’s 82nd minute strike was enough to seal the win for the entertaining Barts FC side.
The Choma-based side will now face the most successful team in the Competition, ZESCO United in the last 16 on the weekend of April 5-6.
