Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant is set to announce his squad ahead of Next Week’s International friendly match against Russia.
Zambia will not participate in the March round of FIFA World Cup qualifiers because Eritrea withdrew while Congo Brazzaville is suspended by FIFA as confirmed by FAZ President, Andrew Kamanga.
“On the Chipolopolo side of business, we are playing Russia in Moscow on March 25 in an international friendly. With our team not participating in the March round of FIFA World Cup qualifiers as Eritrea withdrew while Congo Brazzaville is suspended by FIFA we settled for the Russia match.”
Being a FIFA window, The Israeli gaffer is expected to have a strong squad with Leicester City forward Patson Daka leading the charge as he will return to the National Team set up for the first time since his injury in August 2024.
Lecce wing wizard Lameck Banda is also back from injury and is expected to be part of the team.
Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, Emmanuel Banda, Lubambo Musonda who is also back from injury are also expected to be part of the team.
Klings Kangwa who has been enjoying the form of his life in Israel with 17 goal involvements (10 goals , 7 assists ) in the league alone will be key for the Chipolopolo Boys who are preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations.
The Chipolopolo Boys and Russia will square off on Tuesday, March 25th in Moscow.
