Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) president Andrew Kamanga has encouraged YASA Queens FC to submit a formal proposal for the upgrade of their home ground through the FAZ Lusaka Province Committee under the ongoing FIFA Forward Project.
Speaking during the unveiling ceremony of the club’s new kit worth K96,000 from AB Bank, Kamanga said FAZ remains committed to infrastructural development, noting that after initiating the construction of four provincial stadiums, there is now room to include additional community pitches in the next phase.
“We have already broken ground in four provinces, and with strong proposals from clubs like YASA Queens, we are open to considering more grounds for upgrade through the FIFA Forward initiative,” Kamanga said.
YASA Queens president Bishop Flemings Mtonga expressed appreciation to FAZ for its sustained support and took the opportunity to request further assistance to help the club grow and meet FIFA standards.

Zambian Premier League CEO Joseph Chimpampwe also applauded YASA Queens for their unwavering commitment to developing female footballers and urged them to remain consistent in nurturing young talent.
AB Bank CEO Maximo Mulenga reaffirmed the bank’s dedication to empowering the girl child through sport.
Mulenga praised the club’s role in safeguarding young athletes from harmful societal influences and encouraged players to balance education with football.
Speaking on behalf of the players, defender Rhodah Nakanyika thanked AB Bank for their generous support. Nyakanika, who is currently completing a degree in education, is expected to graduate soon, serving as a strong example of the balance between academics and elite sport.
