Manchester makes donations to Mazabuka hospital

FAZ Division One Zone Four money-bags Manchester United Zambia Academy donated 20 chairs and 2 wheelchairs with other goods; in total worthy K20 000 to Mazabuka general hospital on Friday.

Speaking to ‘Bola24’ when making the donations MUZA FC Executive Director Keith Mwemba said the gesture was to aid the government and NGO’s with the smooth running of the hospital.

“As the club we thought of making this contribution in a small way to the Mazabuka general hospital”, he said.

“We want to support on what the government and NGOs are doing in supporting the hospital to run smoothly.”

And Mwemba assured that such donations will be made perpetual in a bid to bring the club and the people of Mazabuka proximity.

“We as FC Muza want to associate ourselves with the people of mazabuka. This is not a one day event but an on going event with the community,” he said.

Meanwhile Mazabuka general hospital supretendant Dr Michael Mulenga thanked Muza FC for the good gesture of which he described will go a long way in improving service delivery to the people of Mazabuka.

Manchester United Zambia Academy were formed in 2007 and have in their roster more than 80 players – the youngest is 8-year old.

They have various under-age teams: in division-two-south team with the main team playing in Division One Zone Four and currently occupying top of the table on 24 points .

On Sunday, they will be facing off with Livingstone Pirates in week 13 fixture of the 2018 FAZ Division One Zone Four at home.
