ZSL Round-Up: Felix Nyaende brace hands Munthali first win as Enock Sakala rescues a point for Numba Mumamba with his first Zesco United goal

The MTN/FAZ Super League action continued this afternoon with three interesting matches taking center stage all in Ndola.

The early kick-off saw Coach less Lumwana Radiants squaring off with Buildcon who welcomed back head coach Kelvin Kaindu on the bench after missing for some time.

Caretaker coach Chris Munthali and his assistant Ngeleka Katembwe started the match with the team manger sitting on the bench to give instructions.

Buildcon started strong in the first half but Lumwana Radiants grew in the game and started looking dangerous at the death. Conlyde Luchanga had the best chance of the first half and should have easily buried it but his headed effort went agonizingly wide off Ngeleka’s goal.

Three minutes into the second half Lumwana Radiants took the lead as Musonda Siame set up Felix Nyaende for a close-range finish. Nyaende completed his brace three minutes later as he benefited from a mistake at the back to double the Uranium Boys’ lead.

Eric Owusu reduced the deficit five minutes past the hour mark with what was initially a cross went straight into the goal as Ngeleka was distracted by the cluster of players in front of him.

Lumwana held on to win the match and have since moved to eleventh place with seven points.

In the second match at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium, young striker Enock Sakala opened his Zesco United goal account as he leveled matters for Team Ya Ziko with a beautiful header after Jack Chirwa had put Green Buffaloes in the lead to make sure the two teams shared the spoils.

Elsewhere, Indeni edged ten-man Power Dynamos 1-0 thanks to a Kilo Mwepu goal. Striker Alex Ng’onga was shown a red card late in the match to reduce Abayellow to ten men.
