Sensational Zanaco fans were left frustrated on Saturday when their teams missed several chances in the first half before going on to lose 3-0 to Lusaka Dynamos.
The fans started chanting ‘ayende’, meaning head coach Chris Kaunda should go. Kaunda believes the fans were right because the performance was bad and no one wants to lose like that.
“It’s bad, It’s Bad, It’s bad the fans were right because no one wants to lose like this after doing whatever we did in the first half,” he said.
Kaunda described the loss as an interesting result given that Zanaco had a lot of chances they should have buried in the first half. Kaunda likened the match to a boxing fight where one fight keeps missing his/her punches and gets knocked out by just one punch.
Kaunda went on to say that maybe some of his players were too excited after beating Zesco United 3-1 in midweek and underrated Lusaka Dynamos.
“It is a very interesting result especially that we had buried this game in the first half, We had all the chances but we kept on missing. We had very clear chances. When you fighting a person and keep missing him, I will just hit you with one and that’s the end, It was like a sucker punch because we attacked, we did everything in the first half,” he said.
“Maybe in people’s minds, they were so excited and thought it was easy, Of course, it was easy in the first half if we were scoring goals, five clean chances we wouldn’t be talking about this result because if you saw in the first half Lusaka Dynamos were just waiting to be scored.”
” Not so good. We have all the players we will see what to do when we start training on Monday,” he added.
Goals from Aubrey Funga, Collins Sikombe, and Emmanuel Chabula secured a 3-0 win for Lusaka Dynamos at Sunset Stadium on Saturday.
Next up for the Bankers is a home encounter against Young Green Eagles in midweek and Lusaka Dynamos face Green Buffaloes in a Lusaka derby.
