ZSIC General Insurance has announced a K2.3 million (about $115,000) travel insurance sponsorship to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup bound Zambia Women’s National Team.
The insurance will cover any emergency costs that the Copper Queens may incur in their preparatory matches in Germany and each member of the delegation will enjoy up to $44,000 in travel medical cover.
Zambia are in Group C alongside Spain, Japan and Costa Rica.The World Cup will kick off on July 20 in Australia/New Zealand.
Zambia will open its World Cup campaign on July 22 against Japan in Hamilton before facing Spain four days later at Eden Park Auckland.
