FIFA to pay each Copper Queens player K600,000 as group stage appearance fee

Copper Queens players will receive an appearance for participating at the FIFA Womens World Cup in New Zealand and Australia.

According to World Football governing body, FIFA, each player will receive $30,000 [K600,000]

Should Zambia reach the last 16, then each player’s appearance fee will double to $60,000 [K1.2 million].

Zambia are in Group C alongside Spain, Japan and Costa Rica.The World Cup will kick off on July 20 in Australia/New Zealand.

Zambia will open its World Cup campaign on July 22 against Japan in Hamilton before facing Spain four days later at Eden Park Auckland.

The final Group C match will be against Costa Rica on July 31 at Waikato Stadium in Hamilton.
