Nine-time Zambia Super League Champions, ZESCO United will this afternoon jet out to Tanzania ahead of tomorrow’s international club friendly match against Azam FC.
According to a statement on the club’s official website, the team will leave Ndola at 13:00hrs aboard a Tanzania Air flight and will arrive in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania at 18:30.
Coach Mumamba Numba will however have to make due without the services of injured Chipolopolo duo of goalkeeper Cyril Chibwe and winger Spencer Sautu.
Numba has been however boosted by the availability of defender Rodrick Kembo and midfielder Samuel Sikaonga who are the latest additions to the squad that travels to Tanzania this afternoon.
2019 transitional League player of the year, Austin Muwowo leads the squad that travels to Tanzania alongside youngster Chipyoka Songa, skipper John Ching’andu, Collins Sikombe and Alfred Leku.
The match is part of the Ndola based sides preps for the 2022/2023 MTN Super League which kicks off next Saturday, 20th August 2022.
The Ndola based side will also be hoping to use the friendly to assess their players ahead of the CAF confederation campaign which starts next month.
