Green Buffaloes Women’s midfielder Ireen Lungu and Sundowns’ Melinda Kgadiete will battle it out for the tournament’s top scorer award.
The two ladies go head to head on Saturday afternoon at Durban’s Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium as they lead their respective teams in the Cosafa Womens Champions League final.
Zambian ace Lungu is leading the goal scoring charts with five goals.
The Copper Queens holding midfielder who has been playing an advanced no.10 for his club scored a brace in Buffaloes’ 4-0 win over Eswatini’s Young Buffaloes on match day 1.
Two days later she hit the tournament’s second hatrick in another 4-0 bashing of Comoros’ Olympique de Moroni.
Lungu is also favourite to win the Player of the Tournament.
Kgadiete is second with 3 goals after her stunning hattrick in Sundowns’ 8-1 win over Costa do Sol.
