Zesco United have moved up to second place on the log following a 2-1 win over Nkana in a rescheduled fixture played at Nkana Stadium this afternoon.
Zesco United opened the scores after 20 minutes with Thabani Kamusoko netting from close after Nkana failed to clear their lines. Ronald Kampamba benefitted from a Diamond Chikwekwe fluffed shot to notch home from close range ten minutes into the second half.
Veteran striker Winston Kalengo pounced on a loose ball following a blunder from youngster Justin Mwanza to seal a hard-fought 2-1 win. The win means Zesco United move to second place with 22 points just a point adrift of log leaders, Prison Leopards.
Elsewhere, Shadreck Mulungwe leveled matters in the 23rd minute to earn the Kawale Boys a point after a Bornface Sunzu own goal put Young Green Eagles in the lead, 1-1 the match finished.
