Ndeke and Malalo set the early season pace as Mporokoso United thrash Abercorn

They say destiny has got a way of locating you no matter what, Ndeke are already on top of the FAZ Provincial Division One, Northern in the second week of games, and Malalo are second on the table.

The big boys are separating from the rest so early in the season. The Northern Province FAZ Division One came alive over the weekend with nine mouth-watering encounters played across the Province.

Big boys Ndeke humiliated Zesco Chiefs 4-0 while Malalo handed Kasama United a 3-0 beating and it already looks like it will be a two-way horse race, though it’s still too early to tell.

The biggest winners this weekend though, was Mporokoso United who handed Abercorn a 5-1 thrashing while Tazara Blue Stars edged Mpande Youth 1-0. Mpaji played to a goalless draw with Zam and so did St Luke against Mporokoso Flying Eagles.

Lwansase’s clash with Kateshi also ended in a goalless draw while the match between Mungwi Hotspurs and Chishimba Green Eagles ended 1-1. Mpulungu United completed the weekend fixtures with a 2-1 win over Chintelelwe on Sunday.

A total of 19 goals were scored this weekend on a weekend that brought great action amidst COVID-19 challenges.
