Zesco trio get two weeks suspension

The Zesco United FC trio of Jonas Sakuwaha, Justine Zulu and Jackson Mwanza have been slapped with two week suspensions after a disciplinary committee hearing.

The three pleaded guilty to breaching camp rules when they consumed alcohol whilst in camp on 20th September, 2015 and were subsequently dismissed by the Team Manager a statement from Zesco United read.

“The three pleaded guilty to the charge and the committee chaired by club Vice-Chairman Dennis Banda ruled that the players be suspended for one month without any benefits that come with being part of the team.”

“However, after mitigation, the committee warned the three sternly against their actions as senior players before reducing the suspension to two weeks with effect from the day they were dismissed from camp,” the statement read

The three players have continued to miss from the title chasing team since the incidence.

  1. You will notice the three r average players, this behaviour confirms it. They r aint adding value to Zesco, not going up nor going down;just a bunch of drfters on the high seas of football. Just like Chris Katongo a bad influence on young players. In short a bad example.

  2. That is the way to go Zesco…no wonder these guys have been out of form,it speaks volumes as to why Jonas Sakuwaha a once budding talent in Zambian football is playing like an amateur despite his high level exposure.
