Zesco United stepped into the first round of the 2016 CAF champions league after they beat Al Ghazala Wau FC of South Sudan 1 – 0 to qualify on a 3 – 0 aggregate scoreline.
The Zambian Champions who were strong favorites in the tie took a 2 – 0 lead into the second leg but they had to wait until the 90th minute to break the deadlock through a John Chingandu header.
Substitute Chingandu had an easy header after he was left unmarked in the box and he rose high to head home a Maybin Mwaba cross.
Zesco United will now meet either Horoya of Guinea or Douanes of Senegal in the next round.

Well done Zesco. You need to find a scoring formula. Find a way of utilizing the services of Idris Ilunga Mbombo. Hes such a lethal striker. Find support from 2 other strikers and you are game. Mwelwa should up his game in the middle of the pack.
