ZESCO Ndola Girls are favorites to acquire the services of Copper Queens defender Pauline Zulu from ZANACO Ladies, the ZamFoot Crew has learned.
Zulu is expected to make the switch from Sunset Stadium to Trade Fair Ground during this January transfer window.
Coach William Zulu has been a long term admirer of the former Elite Ladies striker cum defender. The two teams are expected to now agree on the particulars of the deal, whether it will be a loan or permanent move.
Zulu joined the Bankers Ladies in January 2025 in a landmark deal costing K170, 000 that included K70,000 cash and in-kind payment in terms of use of Sunset Stadium in lieu of payment of hire fees up to K100,000.
Despite the big money move, Zulu has struggled for game time at Sunset Stadium in the first half of this season and could use a fresh start away in Ndola to regain her former form that saw her become a regular in the Copper Queens squad.
Zulu joined the Elite Ladies from Pataaki Football Club. The U20 graduate represented Zambia with the Copper Queens at the 2024 Paris Olympics and won the 2024 Cosafa ā Council of Southern Africa Football Associations Womenās Championship.
Prior to her position switch she used to be a forward for Pataaki Girls as part of a dangerous attacking trio that included Jessy Zulu now with Green Buffaloes and former U17 skipper Blessings Zangose Zulu.
During the 2021 Barbra Banda Foundation tournament she was among the top three top goalscorers with 3 goals.
