Edward Chilufya back from injury

Chipolopolo winger Edward Chilufya is back in action after recovering from an injury that saw him miss the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.

The Zambian international put in a full shift for FC Midtjylland in their 3-0 win over Ukrainian Premier League side Kryvbas in an international club friendly match.

Chilufya suffered a knee injury in October last year and was ruled out for two months plus.

His return comes as projected earlier on by his club FC Midtjylland, who confirmed back in November that the 2017 U20 AFCON winner will only be back in January.

The Kasama native missed out on his second AFCON appearance as Chipolopolo were dumped out in the group stage after drawing their opening two games and losing their final group game, 3-0 to hosts Morocco.

Chilufya will now target making the cut for FC Midtjylland who are in action next week in the UEFA Europa League League phase against Norwegian side Brann and Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb.
