Zambian Super League giants, ZESCO United could travel to Dar es Salaam as part of their preseason ahead of the 2022/2023 Super League season.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that a trip to Tanzania could be on the table for nine-time Zambia Super League Champions though it’s yet to be confirmed.
Team ya Ziko shifted their base from Ndola to Mongu ahead early this week.
The Numba Mumamba tutored outfit will be in Western Province for a 10-day camp.
Mumamba expects to get the best out of his players in Mongu and believes to help his players prepare for the season both Mentally and Physically.
“It is a good environment because everyone has to be fully committed and concentrated. We don’t want excuses or disturbances to the team, especially since we will have an intensive training schedule to prepare our players both physically and mentally,” Numba told the club’s official website.
ZESCO United have been busy in the transfer market and has acquired six new players to beef up their squad.
Left-back Jack Ngulube from Green Buffaloes, defender Rodrick Kembo, and midfielder Kezironi Kizito both from Buildcon.
Others are winger Chipyoka Songa from Shamuel, Chipolopolo goalminder Cyril Mwenya Chibwe and Kelvin Kapumbu from the Bankers, Sensational Zanaco.
ZESCO will represent Zambia in the CAF Confederation Cup after they finished second in the 2021/2022 Super League season.
Kitwe giants, Power Dynamos are also pondering a trip to Botswana for their preseason training camp.
Meanwhile, Champions Red Arrows who have already started their preseason in Lusaka could also travel abroad for a camp.
