Zesco United conceded a late equaliser to draw 1 – 1 with Swazi side Mbabane Swallows in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions league.
The George Lwandamina coached side led at halftime through midfielder Justine Zulu but were denied the huge advantage they needed when they conceded in injury time.
Lwandamina named a strong side with two defensive midfielders in his side, Misheck Chaila and Justine Zulu starting while Kondwani Mtonga partnered Mathias Emmanuel in central defence.
The Ndola based side will however be happy to have collected a point away from home and will look to finish the business at home in a fortnight.

typical zambian, concending after scoring
Thats a very important away goal
Atleast they drew, they should be favourite to win at home though they shouldn’t take anything for granted as they might be surprised.
Truth be told Zesco is to big a club to be drawing with Mbabane swallows, they should in all truth be beating this club soundly. With all due respect you cant be struggling with Mbabane swallows then expect to perform miracles against Al Ahly. We walk away with the away goal but we really should have beaten them soundly.
MBABANE SWALLOWS IS KA STUBON TEAM.
If you have seen the skill possessed by the Swazis, you would give them respect. these guys have the ability to beat any team . their talent is comparable to what we have in Zambia and when we come to individual skills, they most probably beat us. The only place we beat them is in teh mind. we believe that they are no match, the day they realize, It will be like the rise of Spain. from unsung heros to world dominators. To draw them is no surprise to me.
