The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has put off the Confederation Cup Group C match between Zesco United and Al Hilal El Obied that was set for Sunday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
World soccer governing body Fifa suspended the Sudanese Football Association (SFA) on July 6 meaning that all football activities involving Sudanese teams and officials could not take place.
However, it is yet to be decided whether the cancellation of the match will lead to Zesco being granted free passage to the quarterfinals.
Zesco United Football Club public relations officer Katebe Chengo said in a statement that CAF had sent correspondence calling off the match.
Al Hilal El Obied had already qualified to the quarterfinals going into the final round of matches with Zesco United needing outright victory to qualify.
Zesco United will have to wait upon CAF on the final decision.
The other Group C match between Smouha and CRD du Libolo will take place as scheduled on Sunday.
