Zanaco reclaimed top spot in the MTN FAZ Super League when they beat visiting Mufulira Wanderers 3 – 2 at Sunset Stadium
Zanaco took a two goal lead into the break with goals from Augustine Mulenga and an own goal in first half stoppage time conceded by Warren Kunda.
Wanderers started their come back from the spot after Moses Lolozi converted from the spot after U23 vice captain Salulani Phiri handled in the box.
Wanderers defender and captain Taonga Bwembya then scored another to pull the scores level at 2 – 2, but Zanaco snatched the win at the death of the game when Matthews Macha scrambled home a goal.
The victory sees Zanaco reclaim top spot with 21 points while Wanderers dropped into sixth position level on 14 points with their next opponents Green Buffaloes who defeated Napsa Stars in the other rescheduled fixture played at Imboela Stadium on the same day.
Buffaloes ran away with a 2 – 0 with goals from Diamond Chikwekwe and Timothy Mbewe.
Napsa remain second from bottom while Buffaloes who released coach Wedson Nyirenda and appointed Bilton Musonda as head coach moved into fifth.
