MTN Super League side ZANACO FC have confirmed the departure of captain Wilson Chisala.
As early reported by the ZamFoot Crew, Chisala has left ZANACO after four seasons with the Bankers.
The club took to their social media to confirm the development.
“ZANACO Football Club extends its sincere gratitude to Club vice-captain Wilson Chisala as he departs the club after four memorable seasons.
Wilson joined Zanaco FC ahead of the 2021/22 season from Gomes FC and quickly established himself as a leader both on and off the pitch.
Through his commitment, professionalism, and unwavering dedication, he became an integral part of the team, leading by example and proudly wearing the captain’s armband.”
Chisala thanked the club for the opportunity they gave him and wished them well going forward.
“I thank the club for giving me the opportunity to play for them. To the fans, thank you for your support, I wish them all the best,” Chisala told the ZANACO Media.
The club has thanked Chisala for his service, resilience, discipline and passion for the ZANACO badge he showed during his stay at Sunset Stadium.
“During his time at the club, Wilson played a significant role in the team’s progress and consistently demonstrated the qualities expected of a Zanaco player. His leadership, resilience, and passion for the badge have left a lasting impact on his teammates, the technical bench, and everyone associated with the club.
As he embarks on a new chapter in his career after securing a move to another Super Division side, we thank Wilson for his outstanding service and wish him every success in his future endeavours.
Once a Zanaco, always a part of the Zanaco family.”
Chisala has completed a switch to MTN Super League defending Champions, Power Dynamos, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
