Zambia’s Ambassador to Ethiopia Emmanuel Mwamba took time off his busy this morning to offer words of encouragement to the Chipolopolo Boys.
Ambassador Mwamba emphasized on the importance of maintaining discipline as a football player.
“To you the player’s talent no matter how big is nothing without discipline probably your coaches have told you that or your leaders have told you that, but it needs to be emphasized you can be a great player but without discipline, it can take you nowhere.so talented has to be complimented, it’s like having a very powerful strong V8 Car it is nothing without Fuel it can not go anywhere without fuel,” he said.
“Don’t spoil the chance don’t squander the chance this chance might not come again you are not the best you are not the most blessed but the lord has put you to play for our national team, regard it as a privilege listen to your coach listen to administration and be discipline as you go back to your communities.”
“We have seen wonderful talent get wasted just because people lacked discipline and everyone starts small as you have, you have left a lot of people behind cause you are now playing for the national team we want you to play at the world stage we want to be watching you on television, so regard it as a blessing thank you,” he added.
The locally-based Chipolopolo side is West Africa to play four friendly matches.
They kicked off their tour with a 3-2 come from behind win over Ethiopia thanks to goals from Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba and Albert Kangwanda.
