Despite being dumped out of the Cosafa Cup tournament, Zambia will stay on in South Africa to play in the losers tournament, the plate tournament.
Honor Janza’s side will face the loser of the match between Ghana and Madagascar in the first plate semi final at the Olympia Stadium on May 27.

Its better to watch cartoons than the so called Janza coached team
Loooooooool -A PATHETHIC OR PLATE TOURNAMENT??
I BELIEVE THE CHIPOS OR ZAMBIA WILL PLAY WITH *MADAGASCAR.
HAHAHAHAHAHA..
Kalaba, chisamba, sinkala, mayuka, kangwa, Jacob, kola, fwayo, Benson sakala, lubambo, Alex ngon’a , lubambo , singuluma , mukuka , b mwape ,c zulu, Collins , mbesuma ,anthony banda and mwape musonda . They should be called up for national juty . With this quality anyone can coach the team sitting on a chair . But these idiots at faz wil never call these players. They wil keep on calling players they want to market .
Bornwell Mwape is useless. I watch him at his relegated Amazulu club. Even in yesterday’s match he was very pathetic, and hence being substituted. The players, in my view, who should be dropped from the national team are as follows: Justine Zulu, Donashano Malama (likula umu guys uyu), Kondwani Mtonga (no pace and probably age has caught up), Jackson Mwanza, Bornwell Mwape, and few others. Rope in fresh legs from the U20 and U23.
The coach had no plan or idea towards playing to Bornwells strengths period! The team cudnt even string two passes together, totally disjointed! Worst team in the tournament! Look at South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana’s play and look at that of Zambia! Pathetic! Kalu must go!
Defenders . Lawrence phiri , sunzu , katebe , kabaso chongo, mbola , nkasu ,
I forget to add Ronald kampamba and saith sakala .
Rodgers kola and fwayo should not be ignored. Kola is the best African striker in Israel he has improved tremendously
Kalu has just lost it,he is not hungry for success any more, the material is there like in this instance he would have told his coach to start with that lad he drafted for marketing reasons ,Patson, but opted for the unpurchasable misfiring Jackson Mwanza.
Plate tournament ma rubbish!
With this downward spiral freefall Zambia will soon start playing pot tournaments I am pretty sure even this plate tournament we wont go far!
We are all a bit emotional right now but truth be told we all knew this coach lacks the practical experience to carry a national team. Some of us hid behind the hope that he could pull a rabbit out of the hat and surprise us all and some of us were pragmatic and spoke very openly about his lack of on the ground experience and to top it as well, the lack of experience with his number two, Chintu Kampamba.
After winning the coveted Afcon we have certainly taken some major steps backward and this has been compounded by two things 1. Poor football management by our FA and 2. A coach with no practical experience at the helm.
I hear the call for this player and that player but if the playing system is defunct of creativity and purpose even the introduction of those players will not help the cause.
We don’t have the greatest individual player quality. Truth be told there is less than three players with a skill set that can be measured and graded as world class. Our only hope is building on a team spirit and solid team play. Until we get a coach who can drill this mind-set into our boys we are destined to take further steps backwards.
Congrats to the U23 and the ladies team.
Our technical team/coaches really amaze me. What’s the point of calling Patson Daka and Evans Kangwa knowing very well that the two players and others, of course would not feature in the line up? These players should have played in the game against Botswana for the U-23 squad on Friday. It was painful to watch our lads play to a one all draw, when we could have collected maximum points against the less fancied Botswana. I wonder if we normally take these games seriously.
can someone help me to authenticate this jersey:

@ neutral, 3 playrs whr putting on jerseys for th ladies national team.
@ Big Steve4rm SA, I totally agree with your observations. A good coach should develop a formation/system using suitable players in the right positions in order to get goals.
Strikers should be coached on how to place balls in the net, not just kicking the ball towards the goal For example, what was use of Allan Mukuka redirecting a short at the already fallen goalkeeper who eventually saved the shot?
In fact it is the reason we are not getting goals, the strikers lack coordination & speed upfront. Overall the whole team lack stamina, speed & one touch passes. If we can get a good coach who can bring this in the team like late Ucar Godfrey Chitalu then we will see real Zambian soccer.
Useless everything.
My starting line up : Mweene, mbola, katebe, sunzu, nkausu,N sinkala, chisamba, kalaba, mayuka, kola and Jacob mulenga.sub Mudenda,Kangwa,Sate Sate,Mukuka Mulenga, singuluma, kondwani,Muntali,A Mukuka and Munyau.with this selection any team can fall,I wonder why faz can not see beyond these guys shame.
Even fwayo and Kabaso
Pliz!!we ned a tacticle, profesional coach not a drawing coach.knowin the size of a pitch doesnt mean u ar a coach ba JANZA.na imwe ba kalu telyose mwinga bofya kolapushyoni chilepala kwat intrest ya bola muli imwe yalipwa mwiminine pa konaula filekeni pantu kuti twatukana.
The sooner people realize that FAZ criminal and DICTATOR Kalusha Bwalya and useless coach Honor Janza are a cancer to our football the better. We are DOOMED as a footballing nation with those two. They have to go!
It pains,Zambia is a football loving Nation just compare the empty stadia in SA and the way we filled the stadia not only when Zambia was playing but even games like between Lesotho and Kenya so Kalu and your fellow clowns there at FAZ come to your senses and put things right ,things which are very obvious.
Zambian football is at its lowest ebb right now
