Kings Kangwa produced a moment of brilliance with a superb free kick to send the home crowd into frenzy as Zambia recorded their first victory in 2024 thanks to a 3-2 win.
Kennedy Musonda gave Zambia the lead in the 28th minute with stunning header after connecting a Lubambo Musonda cross.
The West Africans responded four minutes later on when Augustas Karbo pounced on a defensive mistake to score past goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga.
The Copper Bullets pushed for a second goal with Obino Chisala pulling strings in midfield.
In the second half, Avram Grant replaced Lameck Banda with Joseph Sabobo Banda and the Zurich winger brought energy and precise play on the right wing.
Substitute Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba produced another moment of brilliance with a 25 yard shot to give Zambia a 2-1 lead in the 78th minute.
Kampamba looked up to the sky to dedicate the goal to his late Mum.
If Grant was not infuriated with the lack of concentration at the back, Zambia again failed to clear as Hindolo Mustapha unleashed a thunderbolt after beating a cluster of players to cancel out Kampamba’s goal three minutes later on..
