Young Green Eagles Records the second win of the season

After 14 matches in the Zambia Super League, debutants, Nkhosa Stadium based outfit Young Green Eagles on Saturday afternoon recorded their second win of the season after cruising to a 2-1 victory over the police men, High Flying Nkwazi.

The win was the second for Young Green Eagles after recording there first against Green buffaloes some weeks ago this season. Despite the win Young Green eagles remains rooted deep in the relegation waters on position 17 after 14 matches played of the MTN/FAZ super league 2020-21 season.

Speaking to the ZAMFOOT crew after the match Young Green Eagles head Coach Kelvin Mwaanga said he doesn’t want his team to go down he wants the team to stay up in the Super league.

“It’s a plus to the team, earlier on I mentioned to say that we have come in a decent way, we don’t want this team to go down we want this team to be high”, he said.

The soft spoken Tonka tusike coach went ahead and noted the impact the last game against elder brothers Green eagles gave to his team.

” Yeah we could say the Choma game gave us power and I think from the Choma game,I know it was a tough one with our brothers and we told ourselves that today is a must win game thank God the boys have worked.”

Kenneth Kasanga opened the scores in the 54th minute and on form Kingsley Fichite leveled matters nine minutes later in the 63rd minute. In what looked like a draw it had to take Simon Mwelwa to score a 87th minute winner to give the Tonka tusike outfit a win and some hopes of surviving relegation.
