High Flying Nkwazi head coach Dennis Makinka says his side lost concentration in the game plus the rains combined with a bad pitch complicated his team’s play.
Speaking to the ZAMFOOT crew shortly after the match Makinka said his team lost a bit of concentration after his side scored first.
“I think we just lost a bit of concentration especially after just after we scored because I thought this game was ours to lose, it’s very unfortunate that we lost they started heating those long balls they had tall and very powerful strikers who won most of the duals so I think we could have done better,” he said.
“The rains and the ground affected because the type of the game we play, the game is not playable, it suits their type of play of long balls and we failed to that, so anytime we wanted to play the goal on the ground it couldn’t happen so the rains with bad pitch it was bad.”
When asked about how he compares winning against Zesco and the loss to Young Green Eagles he had this to say.
“They were both tough games, I thought this one was easy because these guys were not playing they were just hitting long balls with Zesco FC it was tough because Zesco can keep the ball, they can pass well but with this one, it was just long balls and run that kind of game but it is what it is, tough luck to us and credit to them they did well and they have won the game,” He said.
The loss to the Young eagles means in the last five games, Nkwazi has won once, drawn twice, and lost twice, collecting 5 points out of a possible 15.
