A weekend round of action in the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ)/ Eden University National League has left the top four teams separated by just 2 points on the log standings.
Kansanshi Dynamos continue leading the table on 28 points, Konkola Blades on 27 points while Chambishi and City of Lusaka both sit come on 26 points, the top two teams at week 17 qualify for the prestigious Absa cup which will also have 6 teams from the Faz/Mtn Super League.
The game of the weekend was arguably the Nchanga Rangers vs Kansanshi Dynamos which was played on Sunday afternoon, Kansanshi Dynamos once again showed their intentions to make a return to the super league after they beat Nchanga by 1-0 at Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.
After going three weeks without a win, legendary Mufulira Wanderers today returned to winning ways after they beat Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy through a Nawa Nawa lone goal in an early kickoff played at Nchanga Stadium and televised live on ZNBC TV 3.
In Lusaka, City of Lusaka walked away with all 3 points against Zesco Malaiti Rangers in a game that was played under heavy rains which made the pitch quite unplayable.
Zesco Shockers were again on the losing side after they were beaten 2-1 by Police College at their home ground at the Independence Stadium in mongu.
Trident Kalumbila vs Maestro United Zambia was rescheduled to Wednesday the 3rd of February.
