WSL; Buffaloes vs Indeni headlines Week 2 of the Eden University Women’s Super League 

The Eden University Women’s Super League will enter week 2 of action this morning with the Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club vs Indeni Roses match being the headline encounter. 

Buffaloes welcome the Smart Roses at Riez Arena this morning looking for their first win of the season after a hard fought goalless draw against YASA Queens last weekend.

They however face an Indeni Roses side they have not beaten in the last two seasons with 3 draws and loss in the last four matches. 

The battle will be in the midfield with Rhoda Chileshe and Esther Mukwasa going up against Natasha Nanyangwe and the amazing Evarine Susan Katongo. 

Indeni could unleash their new acquisitions in Grace ‘Pogba’ Phiri and Hellen ‘Kante’ Banda. 

Ngosa Chabwe and Edith Phiri are expected to cause problems for Melissa Mataba and Martha Katila Banda. 

On the other end it will be the ‘female Ronaldinho’ Maweta Chilenga expected to be a menace on the wings alongside Agness Phiri with Hellen Chanda leading the line. 

Elsewhere, Luyando Foundation Girls will welcome ZANACO Ladies at Independence Stadium. The People’s Favorite Team of Choice suffered a 1-0 loss away to Green Eagles and will look to get their first win of the season. 

ZANACO Ladies on the other hand will be looking to make it back to back wins and face a two they beat 5-0 in their last meeting. 

In Kalumbila, Trident Queens will open their campaign after not being in action last week due to ZESCO Ndola Girls’ participation in the CAF Women’s Champions League | COSAFA Qualifiers. 

The Conqueror Queens welcome ZISD Women at Sentinel Ground. ZISD are eager for a win after they were handed a big 6-2 loss by Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles last weekend. 

In Kitwe, Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles will look to make it two wins in a row as they welcome Green Eagles in what is expected to be a cracking encounter. 

After returning to the topflight with a 2-2 draw, Chipata Girls will now take on Nchanga Rangers Queens away in Chingola.  Rangers Queens are wounded after their 2-1 away loss to ZANACO Ladies. 

On Sunday, Amazing Grace welcome Nkwazi Queens while Red Arrows will be away to National Assembly.
