The FIFA World Cup 2026 draw will take place on December 5 at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, United States of America.
The tournament will take place across the United States, Canada and Mexico and will feature 48 nations – up from 32.
The Chipolopolo Boys are still in contention for the second slot in the group after being awarded 3 points from their unplayed game with Congo Brazzaville back in March – moving their tally to six equal with Niger and Tanzania.
Brazzaville were temporarily banned by FIFA because of third-party interference in the affairs of the country’s football association (Fecofoot) in February.
The Atlas Lions of Morocco lead the group with 15 points after five wins from their first five games. Zambia will host Morocco at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Monday, September 8th.
Winners of each Group will automatically qualify for the FIFA World Cup™ 2026. The four best runners-up (from the Groups) will play in a CAF Play-Off tournament.
The winner of the CAF Play-Off Tournament will play in the FIFA Play-off Tournament.
