WK 11: Zesco United look to pick first win in four games

League champions Zesco United will tomorrow look to halt their terrible slump in form when they travel to Chingola to play Nchanga Rangers.

The champions who are Zambia and Southern Africa’s flag bearers in the CAF Champions League have gone four games without a win against three of the four promoted sides and were beaten by Forest Rangers at home in their midweek game last week.

Despite failing to pick wins, Zesco remain third on the log on 18 points out of a possible 27.

However, they remain favorites against a Nchanga side that has had a mixed start to the season winning 4 time and losing 4 times in 9 outings.

In other games across the country, leaders Nkana FC will host Mufulira Wanderers in Kitwe while Power Dynamos will also be at home against Green Eagles.

With Chipolopolo coach George Lwandamina refusing to release players for the midweek games, two matches have been postponed owing to the number of players from Green Buffaloes and Red Arrows who are with the national team.

Zanaco has also contributed five players but their game will go ahead as they look to catch-up on the back-log of games.
