Zesco United have clarified that Chipolopolo goalkeeper Jacob Banda is okay and does not have a heart condition a suggest in certain media houses.
According to a statement released by the club Chief Executive Officer Justin Mumba, the club captain has only been given a rest after having too many games.

Like in any team,rotation is cardinal especially when a team has an important engagement as continental games and a players absence should not suggest any medical condition.
Mumba told www.zescounitedfc.com from Mpulungu that Banda has played alot of games and as the team prepares for CAF champions league Jacob deserves a rest.
It is sad that a players absence can be blown out of proportion,and again we continue to have different statements with national team managers.
Fans should not worry,if Jacob had the said heart there was no way he could be playing week in week out.
Team doctor Stephen Mbewe said there is no condition Jacob is suffering from and he will be training with the team as usual.
This is despite being quoted by the media that he had issued a statement that the goalkeeper had been given a two month leave after suffering a heart disease.
