Chipolopolo midfielder Wilson Chisala is set to miss ZANACO’s Saturday’s away fixture against Nchanga Rangers at Nchanga Stadium.
Chisala is currently in Israel pursuing a move to that country to join the likes of Klings Kangwa, Joseph Banda, Emmanuel Banda, Chipyoka Songa, Kennedy Musonda, and Golden Mashata who are all on the books of teams in that country.
ZANACO head coach Numba Mumamba confirmed the development in his pre match interview.
“The only absence in the team is Mr Wilson Chisala who has left for Israel. He is the only player that is not available for selection this week because he is gone to pursue his professional career outside the country,” Numba said.
It’s not clear yet which club Chisala is set to join. Chisala has been a key member of the ZANACO squad and scored eight goals last season as the Bankers survived relegation on the final day.
Chisala has earned himself a number of call ups to the Chipolopolo Boys squad including being part of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations squad.
Chisala joined ZANACO in 2022 from Gomes FC.

Why is everyone going to Israel and the quality of the national team is not improving. We need players in Europe proper. Israel can’t even qualify for a World Cup I doubt it is the best place to aim for.
Please try places like Czech Republic, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Romania, Poland as a first foray into Europe.
