CAF Confed Cup: Kaizer Chiefs warned about ZESCO United’s dangerous trio

ZESCO United’s opponents in the CAF Confederation Cup, Kaizer Chiefs have received a timely warning ahead of the weekend’s encounter.

Amakhosi have been told to be wary of striker Amine Hiver, winger Abraham Siankombo and midfielder Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba.

Former ZESCO United goalkeeper Cyril Mwenya Chibwe told Kick off Magazine that Chiefs needed to take their chances and be wary of the trio.

“It’s going to be a difficult game, but if Chiefs utilise their opportunities in Zambia, they can get away with this one.The numbers 7, 9 and 17 from ZESCO are very dangerous,” Chibwe said.

“To be honest, it won’t be an easy game. ZESCO rely on fast breaks and speedy wingers. They didn’t start well in the past two games in the group stage.”

“Again, in the league, there’s been no consistency from them. They are now seventh on the log, while Chiefs are showing great form and are third on the PSL log table,” he added.

Having lost their two group stage games so far, ZESCO United sit bottom of Group D, Kaizer Chiefs occupy third place, having lost one and drawn one so far, while Egyptian duo of Al Masry and Zamalek make up first and second place respectively.

ZESCO United and Kaizer Chiefs will battle it out at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium on Sunday at 15h00.
