The Zambia national team will this evening kick start their 2023 AFCON qualification campaign with an away fixture.
The Copper Bullets will be away to Ivory Coast on match day one. The ZamFoot Crew now looks at who Aljosa Asanovic mat partner Enock Mwepu with in midfield.
The skipper will either take up the attacking free role that he seems to enjoy of late or another role given his versatility.
However the squad has no recognized midfielder hence it’s not inconceivable that Mwepu may be asked to play a more defensive role.
New Red Star Belgrade midfield ace Klings Kangwa is expected to join him in midfield alongside Djurgådens IF midfielder Emmanuel Banda.
Asanovic has already toyed and tried the attack minded midfield trio during the March friendly games.
Simba SC midfielder Rally Bwalya and Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba are also available options for Asanovic.
The Chipolopolo Boys will take on the elephants this evening at the 20, 000 capacity Stade Yamoussoukro in their first 2023 AFCON qualifier. Kickoff is at 19:00 hours local time (21H00 CAT).
