How will Asanovic line-up his back four?

The Zambia national team will this evening kick start their 2023 AFCON qualification campaign with an away fixture.

The Copper Bullets will be away to Ivory Coast on match day one. The ZamFoot Crew now looks at the defensive options that Aljosa Asanovic may line up.

Aime Mabika’s naturalization process was completed yesterday and hence he will miss today’s match.

Raith Rovers defender Frankie Chisenga Musonda is expected to start in central defense and likely to be partnered by TP Mazembe defender Tandi Mwape.

Sekhukhune United defender Rodrick Kabwe is expected to start at left back with Lubambo Musonda taking up the right back position.

Asanovic may also decide to go with Shemmy Mayembe and Benedict Chepeshi on either side of the central defense.

Dominic Chanda and Miguel Chaiwa are also available options for the Crot.

The Chipolopolo Boys will take on the elephants this evening at the 20, 000 capacity Stade Yamoussoukro in their first 2023 AFCON qualifier. Kickoff is at 19:00 hours local time (21H00 CAT).
