  1. That is FAZ for you. Very useless.

MINISTRY OF SPORTS LIQUIDATES HOTEL BILL AFTER BAILIFFS POUNCE ON FOOTBALL HOUSE
The Ministry of Sports has released K50, 000 to Cresta Golf View hotel over an unpaid 2011 Chipolopolo camp bill which led to bailiffs acting behalf of the hotel attempting to seize Football House property Wednesday morning. The bailiffs managed to get some equipment from the Licensing Department, reception and Secretary General’s PA’s desk.
The hotel bill arose after the AFCON2012 Qualifier match between Zambia and Comoros and has remained unpaid by the Ministry of Sports since the match was played.
Following the action of the bailiffs, FAZ, the Ministry of Sports and Hotel management held a series of meetings where the Ministry of Sports acknowledged the outstanding amount and committed an immediate payment of K50,000 (with a balance of K90,000 to be paid out over the coming month).
Cresta Hotel General Manager Fungai Makani regretted the action stressing that lack of communication over the settlement of the amount outstanding and pressure from their holding company to explain it led to the drastic action. The hotel has since reiterated its commitment to working with both the FAZ and Ministry adding that had they been informed of challenges the ministry was facing, they would not have engaged bailiffs

  4. Prayer and fasting declared in Zambia?
    Impressive
I wish leaders in other African countries would be enlightened to see the significance of such an important spiritual exercise towards socio-economical,political development of every country.

  5. We should pray hard that one day can beat Egypt and that should be one of our prayer requests on Sunday.Honestly, we have never beaten Egypt since Kalusha Bwalya stopped playing football.Shame on you!

  6. Good for Zambia, a country that has no shame in praising the lord. Hate or like Edger Lungu, but praising the lord is a blessing to those that know him and it is a good thing Mr Lungu has done, politics aside. I will be praying with all y’all over here. Stay blessed folks.

    • That’s very true @ TC Soccerman. It’s a very commendable thing to do and I hope as a nation we could make it an annual event. God bless Zambia.

  7. I believe that prayer should be an everyday thing, not only pray just because somebody said “let’s pray on such and such a day”. Prayer should be a part of our lives as children of God. I fast and pray from time to time. It is a good thing though that President Lungu called for prayers. And I hope this has been done in good faith. In most countries, presidents belong to the underworld; they are witches and wizards. We should be thankful we have a president who acknowledges the Most High God.

  8. Sunday was instituted by man the 7th day is the day of rest and prayer but anyway its a good sign at least we are running away from a secular Country…Zambia must turn to YaHuWaH the true most high and Yahushua the true redeemer…. I know Chipolopolo will make it one day as power-house.

  9. The Lord grant Zambia all its petitions eve as prayer and fasting as held across this great Nation. This declaration us unique and the one who declared shall surely get blessed too as long as he continues liftong his eyes to thd blessed heavens. Shalom
