  1. Guys, I’m sorry to keep on this, but Festus Mbewe is not national team ready. Even against Egypt, his first touch was to miscontrol a throw in.

All the times I have watched this guy, it is hard for me to understand how he even got selected. Bad tactical decision making; the guy was offside 3/4 times in a space of 20 mins in one game I watched him play.

His ball control is lacking. Several high balls kicked in to him would end up bouncing off his chest or foot. His determination upfront is his strongest attribute. He will chase down any ball that is a lost cause and maybe get lucky like he did against Lesotho when we drew with them.

He has aerial ability as well, but the guy is lacking in technique. These are things that can be worked on, but it is scary to me that our best striker in the local league is Festus Mbewe and the prerequisite Patson Daka who doesn’t even feature. Kalengo has been awesome and has the makings of a complete striker, strength, speed, and a knack to get into the right places when given the opportunity.

  2. ati festus?what criteria do they follow to select players, a local strikers should be from number 1-3 top scorers.like kalengoal, the two strikers who are top scorers. not ba fest us mbewe .

  3. Normally after a match there’s a post match interview where the coach answers questions about the match. Did Lwandamina have anything to say after the Egypt game? Team selection, tactics… filyafine

  4. It takes a very long time to start winning games with such rookie players,i love the way renard used to do it wen it comes to fusing in a new palyer in the national team,it used to b gradual and tactical, ths chicken is not learnin from janzas mistakes, there are very few players that deserve a place in the national team.not even lubambo musonda is fully ripe yet despite being 1 of the most talented from the young players.

  5. Ba zmfoot honestly by now FAZ has not distributed the mozambique game tickets to post offices in lsk,a check @ woodlands & main office in cairo rd has revealed.surely u want pipo to start panickin @ the end & queing up. by nw u they shud ve come up wit a security to avoid counterfeit or rather manipulation.Ba FAZ TWAFWENI PULIZI

  6. ati no footbal because of prayers. iam shocked at how backward weve become. we need empirical solutions to our problems not days of prayer. of wat help will the fake prayers be to our football and economy which is in icu.

  7. u lik trial n error.doz coach no dat we dnt hav defendaz.uz exp playz in deff lik nkausu.look at quality no politic nokulyamo in football.

    • @ Neutral then that’s very strange and unfortunate. But even then, does it mean our local media houses can’t be bothered to get any post match reaction from the coach? The least the nation can be given is at least some answers to the many questions regarding that match. It’s part of being accountable to tax payers whose money was used for travel and allowances. We shouldn’t just sit quietly guys, we have the right to demand answers.

  8. @Stampy, you should be careful with spiritual issues. It’s better to keep quite if you don’t understand these things than making such unfortunate statements.

  9. The Zambia Mozambique duel has for most of the time been a fruitful one for Zambia. I know that quite a number of readers of this contribution would think of the fruitfulness being mentioned here as a win against Mozambique. However it is not that alone. This encounter usually unearths a good Zambian talent especially when it comes in the building phase for Zambia. Track back into history to get more of this. When Kalusha was Head coach Mbesuma who happened to be part of the Zambia set up shot the Mambas and from there he never looked back. The Mambas Chipolopolo encounter should be loved by Zambians for this. In fact I call it the Zambia anointing encounter. Checkout for the next anointed one following today’s encounter.
