We will be back to our winning ways – Fathi

On a rainy Saturday afternoon witnessed by over 10,000 fans, second, placed Napsa Stars battled it out with 12 times Zambian Super League Champions Nkana.

This was arguably the game of the weekend and it definitely lived up to the crowds expectations, the game started off on a high with both teams playing end to end.

Speaking to a Zamfoot Crew after the match, Napsa Stars Head Coach Mohammed Fathi expressed confidence in his team.

“I think lucky of concentration in the last five minutes cost us the game, but every big team in the league passes through this bad phase, Nkana and Green Eagles started the league badly, look at Zesco they are also passing through this phase. It usually some bad set up but this bad phase does not take long, we will be back to winning ways in our next fixture.”

“We did not play our usual game today mainly due to lack of concentration but so far so good we will be back to win, we have already qualified for the Absa Cup and we will stay in the top four. We need to focus on winning all our home games and maintain our position on the log,” he added.

An 85th minute Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba’s lone goal was enough to sink the pensioners and top up the top four positions.

The win moved Nkana to 30 points and sitting on the fourth position, one point behind joint log leaders Zesco United and Napsa Stars, Green Eagles sit third on 30 points only ahead of Nkana on goal difference.
