Chiyangi confirms Kaseba and Mwanza’s departure … Credits Moses Phiri moment of madness for the win

Green Eagles football club registered a 2-0 win over Buildcon in a week 16 fixture of the MTN FAZ Super League played at the Independence Stadium on Saturday the 4th of January 2019.

Green Eagles head coach Aggrey Chiyangi described the match tough but felt Buildcon made a mistake when Moses Phiri decided to misbehave by punching Warren Kunda which led to his sending off to reduce team Kopala to 10 players.

“It was a tough game but Buildcon made a mistake when their player ‘misbehaved’ that is where it went wrong they played well but the most important thing for us we told our players that we really need to push because we knew Buildcon has been playing good football,” he said.

Chiyangi went on to confirm the departure of certain players from the Choma based outfit but he assured that the club had put measures in place to see to it that replacements are found.

“One or two players can leave the club so what is important is to plan so we have already put measures in place but will make sure that we bring someone who will add value to the team,” Chiyangi told the ZamFoot Crew.

“Players like Kennedy musonda his contract ended so we couldn’t renew it because he more money and power Dynamos offered him another player is Tapson kaseba he was offered a contract by Buildcon he also leaving to go to Buildcon.”

“Then Robert Mwanza the goalkeeper Mufulira wanderers requested for his Services and his also leaving so that is the position as at now,” Chiyangi added.

Overall Coach Chiyangi was impressed with the teams’ performance despite missing chances in the first 45 minutes.

“Am happy with the way the players have played my worry was the striking force we have two strikers that have left but in today’s game the ones that played accounted themselves very well despite missing chances in the first half but where effort is Concerned they did well.”

Goals from Ronald Chibwe and Spencer Sautu secured maximum points for the Kawale boys. The Choma based side are third on the log table with 30 points after playing 16 games.
