Numba disappointed with loss to Lusaka Dynamos

Sensational Zanaco head coach who has now been sent on administrative leave Numba Mumamba was left disappointed and embarrassed after his team was beaten by Lusaka Dynamos 3-1 at Nkoloma Stadium on Sunday afternoon in an early lunch kickoff.

Numba believes luck of concentration from his team led to the goals scored by their opponents.

“I must say it’s a disappointing result on our part and an embarrassment at the same time, cause this is the game we would have won easily but we just gave away the goals that we conceded out of our own making,” he said.

“I think we just have to blame ourselves because they didn’t look for the goals that they scored if we look at the goal that we scored and the goals they scored, I think we can just give them the goals because of lack of concentration on our part and that is what has resulted in us losing 3-1,” he added.

The Bankers have now gone 9 games in all competitions without registering a single win and they face the magnificent people’s team in a rescheduled week 7 fixture to be played on Wednesday the 8th of January 2020 at the famous Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium in Kabwe.

“Yeah, of course, we are very much worried especially the results that we are getting, I think we have gone 8 games in all competitions without a win which is a source of worry on our part but we will keep on working on pushing the team and encouraging the team cause they need us especially in this period of time that we are passing through,” he said.

“I think we need to lift up their spirit’s so that we can get back to our winning ways,” he added.

Numba Mumamba believes that zanaco s still in the title race despite the team’s poor performance of late.

“Yeah, of course, we are very much still in contention for the title and finishing in the top four. all we need is to start winning cause that is what will make a difference, we still have got a lot of games to go and our objective now is to start winning,” he said.

“I think we will try and work on the mistakes that we are making in the games so that we can improve as a team. I think we have lost and we just have to accept it and move on,” he added.

Goals from Baba Basile, Ocean Mushure and Aubrey Funga secured maximum points for Lusaka dynamos. Souleymanou Moussa scored the consolation goal for the Bankers and also missed a penalty.
