There was positive vibes at Karima Stadium on Tuesday night as the Chipolopolo Boys had a feel of the turf.
Led by skipper Rainford Kalaba and talisman Collins ‘King David’ Mbesuma, the 2012 African Champions were taken through their paces by Kampamba ‘Modibo’ Chintu.
There after training was split as Modibo continued with his warm drills with the outfield players while Davies Phiri handled Kennedy Mweene and co.
Later on it was the time for George ‘Chicken’ Lwandamina to do the tacticak drill and concentrated more on what looked liked the starting XI.
At the end, FAZ President Kalusha Bwalya emerged from the touchline were he has been watching the session and offered his customary peptalk for every away match.
The message was ‘lets stick together and we can do it. We are Chipolopolo!
The game has been dubbed as the grudge game in Sudan for that boardroom decision which saw their 2-0 win overturned by FIFA.
The Sudanese have done all the mind games including taking the game to a remote town in the north and if that’s not enough the playing surface at the Stadium is like a grazing field.
The grounds like Trade Fair or Konkola Stadium are not to that level of Karima Stadium potato pitch, the boys have been psyched not to concentrate on the mind games.

All the best boys, we ll triumph.
Yes we can do it. If Ghana did it; Cameroun Did it and Angola did it, why can’t we also DID IT?
Are we in the same class a Ghana or Cameroon? We are kidding ourselves. We are nowhere near these West Africans.
Go zed go.
Lets get ’em CHIPOLOPOLO IYE..
The basic truth about life is that we all live in fear. Whether we`re bullies or the bullied- we are all scared of something. In most times, the feeling of fear comes to its very test when one comes face to face with that which intimidates him/ her. We all know how important this game is, how crucial it will be for the Chipolopolo to redeem themselves and make the country proud. At such times feelings are mixed among those that follow the game passionately- others deliberately take a negative view in public, but privately they`re praying for positive results. Others are consistently positive while the other bunch is consistently pessimistic. For one am always consistent, always positive and always hoping for the best results. I will watch the game with passion whether lose or win. But I still believe we need to fix our house, we can not continue to behave as though we`re still in ‘stone age’ .
nice post I also believe we can still improve and am behind you z let’s do this
Now that’s a soccer Fan! Nice 1 Chintu! Alot of people here speak like they have no heads.
GIVE US DE SQUAD IN SUDAN.

Defenders: Kabaso Chongo (TP Mazembe/DRC), Dauti Musekwa (Zesco United), Boyd Mkandawire (Napsa Stars), Aaron Katebe (Maghreb Atlantic/Morocco), Benedict Chepeshi (Red Arrows), Buchizya Mfune (Green Buffaloes), Stoppila Sunzu (Lille/France).
Midfielders: Nathan Sinkala (TP Mazembe/DRC), Donashano Malama (Nkana), Rainford Kalaba (TP Mazembe/DRC), Jack Chirwa (Green Buffaloes), Lubambo Musonda (Gandzasar Kapan/Armenia), Mwape Mwelwa (Zesco United), Paul Katema (Red Arrows); Spencer Sautu (Green Eagles )
Forwards: Winston Kalengo (Zesco United), Collins Mbesuma (Mpumalanga Black Aces/RSA), Conlyde Luchanga (Lusaka Dynamos), Evans Kangwa (Hapoel Ranaana/Israel), Festus Mbewe (Red Arrows).
I have confidence in Lwandamina Zambia will carry the day .All the best guys
DE COACH SHUD USE MALAMA & KABASO AS FULL BACKS, SUNZU & KATEBE IN CENTRAL DEFENCE, SINKALA & KALABA IN MILDFIELD, LUBAMBO & MWELWA IN WINGS, MBESUMA & KALENGO ON TOP WITH A 4-4-2 FORMATION. MAYBE WE CAN GET A DRAW & FINISH DE JOB IN NDOLA.
The issue of the kit is something terrible, one day will play putting on vitenge. Let FAZ come out in the open and tel us wat exactly is going on, if was team selecting it cud have been all over the media.
@Kasama boy…the difference between Ghana ivory coast n other teams r they don’t know home n away… They win everywhere.
The coach lacks creativity he’s f00lish as I have always said. Fwayo should have been called and mbola. Further he has too many goalkeepers. 2 was enough. In the event that lubambo or kalaba are injured or need to be replaced this coach has no one to bring on
@John, if coach took 2 goalkeepers and 1 denied visa like Munthali. Then Mweene gets malaria a day before match, who will be in goal? Maybe Kabaso Chongo.
lets wait and see. I think its time for kulu to leave zed football and concentrate on caf position. He has taken as for granted. Everything that is happening is his thought, we even failing to secure visa’s for the players this is nonsense. He is nt god, we appreciate everything he as player, nt what he running zed football. he is doing everything selection of players, accommodation for the national team, cheap kits for the national team and using unripe players at the expense of world cup so that he fill his pockets, he is too selfish. You can’t run an organization living in another country. He does not even watch all the league games. He only rely on his inch men to tell him what is happening. Zed football will keep on going down if we let this continue using us. This time we should have already been to the world cup, being afcom champion is nt a fluke. One selfish guy he is leaving capable players and taking young inexperienced players so that he expose and advertise them. His self interest is killing zed football.
Well said. Kalusha Bwalya is only one stumbling block to Zambia’s football development. The fool just wanna globe trot and remote control everything. @Gode, you well summarised problems with Zambia’s football.
pliz lets use more profesionals not local players, atleast 4 local players they are enough this is not the way they buld the team.if you want to train these young stars creaty more friendly matchez than usinzing them in big matchez.lastly local coachez are not needed they are too much colaput, kalusha, goarge should leave, pliz Mr V Mwale do somthing before it is too late.u know what hapened in 2015 afcon useles nd again they hav continued using local playerz, pliz do somthing.
Its smash and grab. Dont believe what see and here. Just go!!
WELL SAID GODE I AGREE WITH U.
Zambia must be weary of Mudathir and Tahir if they are playing. Also I can see Badr Eldin out running the wings. Apart from Sunzu, all the Zambian back five lack the height to air battle these heigth-stars. Do you think Sudan went to karima to welcome Zambia, they want to flash Zed out of the qualifiers. Mazda is shouting and singing for the chicken because he is coming to roost.
Keep the dream alive.
Pack the back.
Dont play the ball around for long
Play mid air balls to the wings
Make the fucking most out of set pieces cause that was how we beat Rwanda in a farm.
And above all Identify their distributer and frustrate him otherwise you might have more Nigerians and Ghanaians pouring here.
3 GOALKEEPERS LIKE U ARE GOING TO DE TOURNAMENT THATS DULL!!!
WEL SAID MR CHU, WE PLAYERS LIKE MUDATHIR EL TAHIR, MUHAMMED BASHIR, ALAADINE YUSUF THERE ARE DEGEROUS WHEN ATTACKING & SHOUTING FROM AFAR!! THEY CAN SCORE FROM ANYWHERE.
GENTLEMEN NO JOKES STARTING LINE UP:
1.KENNEDY MWEENE
2.KABASO CHOONGO
3.DAUTI MUSEKWA
4.AARON KATEBE
5.STOPHILA SUNZU
6.NATHAN SINKALA
7.LUBAMBO MUSONDA
8.SPENCER SAUTU
9.WINSTONE KALENGO
10.COLLINS MBESUMA
11.RAINFORD KALABA
LETS GET QUICK GOALS GENTLEMEN… ITS A DO OR DIE GAME.
CORRECTION: PLAYERS LIKE MUDATHIR EL TAHIR, MOHAMMED BASHIR, ALAADINE YOUSUF ARE DANGEROUS.
If the pitch looks lyk a grazin field then let’s GRAZE them in thr own field.
Test
This is the best shot/chance that we have to beat this aging Sudanese team in Sudan. They have moved the match to another venue away from Khartoum where we have a dismal record. They recently fired their coach Mazda are in a PATHETIC form. If can’t beat this team in Sudan then we may never beat them again!
We are probably just there to make the numbers; qualifying to Russia 2018 is only but a dream. It will never happen. It’s a non starter!!!
The truth is my heart wants Zambia to qualify for the next round and eventually to world cup 2018, but my head wants Sudan to go through to the next round simply because Zambia is a threat to any side that will be seeded in the next round including my Ghana. I would much rather face the likes of Sudan,Angola,Ethiopia than face tricky opponents like Zambia, Guinea, and Congo , not out of fear but respect.
What gode has written should be published in the newspapers. He has hammered the nail on the head. His analysis is spot on. That is the best analysis I’ve seen on this site for years
We are tired of complaining it has become too much. Kalu has gone too far. He is costing the nation.
kay Hummer look wat u have done, u introduced your brother abram to this group and he has gone wild like a young dragon
Sudan 4-0 Zambia.
That looks more like it.
Day dreaming
Mumbi pliz, come bk to the fold n support yo local team.
The only thing i can do is to wish the boys good luck but if there id still the room that more players can be called for the return match the better to call fwayo tembo and mbola.
YES THEY FIRED THEIR COACH MUHAMAD ABDULAR MAZDA, & HAMDAN HAMAD IS DE NEW COACH.
WATCH OUT 4 AMIR KAMAL,,MASSAWY OMAR MUHAMED KUKU, NADIR ATTA, SUHAIB IZZ, ANKABA, MUDATHIR EL TAHIR, MOHAMMED BASHIR, ALAADINE YUSUF.
WE WILL BE WALLOPED TODAY. MARK MY WORDS.
Abram ulimupuba!
ANY ONE WHO WANT TO BET I HV K300 HERE SUDA WIL BEAT US TODAY!
Were re game the problem is they ve bad piches very bump nd they re used to this pitch so tactical aproch is the only way. Last time they won bz of the pitch
So if we happen to win, wht wi’ll b yo position u oposers n antzambians? Leave it to them just mind yo job n not criticizing nhw pliz let’s unite n b patriotic
Abram its 50 50 but in some sense i agree with u, enviroment, wether nd the pich might cost as the game nd 2 we can play but our players luck tactical displine like players of yestsyears, they re black but the mind is arabic
If Zambia can survive till half time without conceding a goal, I predict a 1-0 scoreline in favour of the away side. this Sudanese lack patience.
Worse case scenario: if Zambia loses don’t lose by a margin of two or more otherwise Zambia’s dream of the 1st ever world cup will be over.
negativity won’t help, let us stick together and pray 4 the win
@John, you are right about gode, what he has written is what we have always preached about on this website. It’s a pity that we have too many Kalusha Bwalya worshipers on this blog. They boot lick the chap. it’s high time he leaves. He has taken out football to the dogs!
Its a pity that we have people that don’t seem to understand the game of football here. Football is not run on remote control. You have to get dirty and do the work!
For FIFA to allow a game to be played on such a field amazes me. IS THIS A WORLD CUP QUALIFIER? HOW CAN YOU PREPARE FOR THE WORLD CUP ON THIS FIELD?
THE FA SHOULD APPEAL THIS.
If Zambia dnt score im the first half, I dont see them scoring in the second because the game is going to be played at 10 pm at a time where Sudan is comfortable with the heat and Zambia would be hot and wear off late in the game and thus where Sudan would pile more pressure. How I wish I can pay only GHc 1.5 to watch this game at my DStv joint but l may have to just buy GHc 10 to watch this game so guys give out the correct links to the game.
The game will be at 7pm Central African time. So it depends on where you are, sir.
