Former Chipolopolo Boys coach Wedson Witson Nyirenda has signed a two year deal with South African ABSA Premiership side Baroka FC.
Baroka FC Chairman, Khurishi Mphahlele, has been quoted by the South African media that the Zambian has penned a two-year deal with a one-year option as they look to climb up the Absa Premiership table next season.
Mphahlele told the Soccer Laduma crew, “Everything is sorted, he’s signed with us and he’s coming. He’s going to start on June 12th when we come back for pre-season.”
Baroka have already made a handful of signings as they gear themselves up for the 2018/19 campaign, and supporters of the club will be delighted to see that they have also now got the head coach.
Wada Wada as the former Nchanga Rangers and Power Dynamos striker is known returns to South Africa where he made his name as a combative striker for glamour side Kaizer Chiefs in the 90s.
This will be Nyirenda’s second stint abroad as a coach after his spell in Mozambique before he replaced George Lwandamina as Chipolopolo coach.
The outspoken coach has enjoyed a successful club career as coach after he guided both Zesco United and Zanaco to league titles.
On the international scene, he fell out with the Chipolopolo faithful after he discarded the old guns like Rainford Kalaba and Nathan Sinkala.

Despite that Nyirenda will remembered for unearthing the likes Augustine Mulenga and Justin Shonga, and handing them international caps.
In his 24 months in charge of the Copperbullets, Wada Wada’s highlight has to be the back to back wins over North African powerhouse Algeria in the Russia 2018 World Cup qualifier last year.
Nyirenda became the third Chipolopolo coach to qualify Zambia to the CHAN tournament and reached the quarter finals.
He also led to the finals of the regional Cosafa Cup last year but lost to Zimbabwe.
Earlier this year, Zambia again lost another final this time to South Africa in a four nations tournament in Ndola.

I love this coach the only problem is that he started discarding big guns from the team.I give you credit for beating Algeria back to back.
Hope you have success at Baroka, at the very least top eight in your first season and one cup final otherwise should you fail, you will validate everyone’s current opinion of you coaching abilities.
