Zambia Under-20 centre back Kayawe Kapota has joined MTN Super League side Nkana on a seasonal loan.
The Kafue Celtic defender was recently in Israel where he attended trials at Hapoel Ra’anana but could not clinch a deal due to injury.
Kayawe was spotted during the Airtel Rising Stars tournament in Northern Province in 2012 and has since gone on to be capped at Under-17 and 20 levels.
He will be Zambia’s defensive pillar at the Senegal 2015 African Youth Championship.
Coach Beston Chambeshi has signed a couple of exciting players to beef up the Kitwe with under-20’s Austin Muwowo set to resurrect his career after being stagnant for a year at Konkola Mine Police.
Kalampa have lured the likes of Congolese duo goalkeeper Scott Ngokane and striker Djunese Kanda from Napsa Stars and Indeni respectively.
Others are Josphat Kasusu and defender Given Sinyangwe.
Kalampa have lost talisman Ronald ‘Sate Sate’ Kampamba and Festus Mbewe, who has since moved to Red Arrows. Midfielder Francis Simwanza has also joined the Airmen.

The teenagers(Muwowo and Ronald Chiwe included) will learn more playing alonside veterans Kamuzati Kabwe,Donashano Malama,Simon Bwalya,Amos Simwanza,Billy Mwanza and Nkana’s imports Tony Odur,Kanda and Ngokene.
Chambeshi must blend them quickly.
I don’t really trust Bestone otherwise Kanda and Kasusu sall ably replace Sate Sate and Festus Mbewe believe you me. Muwowo is a class act while Kayawe and Given Sinyangwe (Kamuzati is at Nkana) will replace Derrick “Sergio Ramos” Mwansa and Munthali. On paper, team looks very strong. Bestone needs to use Shadreck Musonda more as the guy in all Lusaka games last season just changed the games leading us to victories!
