THE Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has appointed lawyer Lombe Mbalashi to spearhead club licensing ahead of the 2015 season.
And Mbalashi says clubs that will not implement club licensing will not be allowed to compete in the MTN Super Division this year.
FAZ vice-president Boniface Mwamelo said in Lusaka on Thursday that Mbalashi was appointed last December.
Mwamelo said Mbalashi will work with two people he will nominate.
“Mbalashi will chair a body that is independent from the FAZ executive as we start club licensing which is supposed to be implemented this year,” he said.
On clubs, Mbalashi said teams that will not have licenses by March 13 will not be allowed to compete in the Super Division this year.
The 2015 season kicks off on March 14.
Club licensing is aimed at making Super Division clubs run professionally.
Yah yah yah, just another way for Kalu to steal some money from these already broke clubs. Whats in it for the clubs anyway? I guess there will be some fee associated with getting them licenses. Useless Kalu never cease to amaze me.
