The Zambia Under Seventeen National soccer team has arrived in Niamey, Niger after a five hour trip from Ethiopia. The team landed at 14:10 local (15; 10 Zambian time).
The team was met at the Diori Hamani International Airport by officials from CAF and the Local Organising Committee.
Niamey has a sunny weather with temperatures averaging 38 degrees.
The Chris Kaunda tutored team is this evening expected to have light training at Camp baggagi military ground.
Zambia are in Niger for the 11th edition of the Africa Cup finals for the Under Seventeen. The Chipolopolo Youths are making a maiden appearance at this football jamboree.
The team has been accommodated at the Sahel Hotel in Niamey.

Good luck to our kids. And in other news those who were laughing at fwayo tembo and calling him a chibuku drinker I have news for you. The boy earns much more than you. According to reports fwayo tembo is being paid 15,000 euros a month which is 113,000 kwacha a month. This hefty salary is actually considered petty in europe. My advice to the under 17 is work hard and you to can end up in europe and make this money.

Wow maiden u-17 championship for zambia. Wishing u guys all the best, the four teams to reach semi finals are going to world cup this november.
I hope you guys qualify along side Nigeria u-17 team(these guys are the current champion of the u-15 african tournament held last year in botswana). And trust me no team in that group is stopping nigeria u-17 team. Neither niger nor guinea nor zambian.
Time to reclaim the cup we narrowly lost to ivory coast on penalties in 2013.

I think what John was trying to say is that, the money Fwayo is earning is quite a lot by Zambian standard because generally the standard of living is much lower in Zambia as compared to Europe.
The standard of living in some part of Romania trust me are like even below zambia.
